With New Jersey He Found New Spirit

Yup, Shaq had 4 win in a row. The last game was vs Sacramento Kings, the Suns won 127 - 99. Shaq has 17 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block. So, why i say that he has found new spirit? Consider this, in Miami Heat shaq has better point per game (ppg) average 14.2 with more minutes per game (mpg) average 28.6. In Suns, he has 10.9 ppg with 27.5 mpg, but in his new team he get 10.2 rebounds per game (rpg) in Heat he just got 7.8 rpg. Click below to enlarge the statistics.

Shaq has a focus, if his team met solid teams, he concentrate to make rebounds so he had less points and high rebounds. But if his team need points, he able to get high scores. In Miami Heat he just confuse about what to do, especially when Wade is not arround. With his age, he get tired and make his spirit loss to concentrate for winning the game. Here in Suns he has a new future, will he get the next ring of champion? Still long road to answer. But, his cards are getting higher. Grab his cards, while still low ;-) I mean low but not too "low". This is one of my possesion, his auto card and numbered to 25. Yes only 25 cards in the world exists.

Dirk Nowitzki was called for a flagrant foul

In the game Dallas Maverick vs Utah Jazz (Mon, Mar 3), he knocked down Kirilenko in the first quarter, but Andrei Kirilenko still able to hit his two free throws before being taken to the hospital for X-rays. The result is Kirilenko injured his right hip. He will miss Friday's game at Phoenix and is doubtful for Saturday's home game against Denver. The NBA suspended Nowitzki for one game Wednesday. The game's result is Jazz 116, Mavericks 110

But why Nowitzki did such thing? Just accident? Maybe you have to read this first.

The 6-9 forward takes home the honor after winning a vote of both fans and a panel of basketball experts, media and coaches from 25 different countries. After leading Russia to a gold medal and garnering MVP honors at EuroBasket 2007, Kirilenko has also helped the Jazz to a strong start in the 2007-08 NBA season. Last year's winner, Dirk Nowitzki finished second while Jose Calderon of EuroBasket silver medalists Spain came in third.

Andrei Kirilenko is a deserving winner of this award," commented FIBA Europe President George Vassilakopoulos. “Very few people expected Russia to win the gold medal this summer and their eventual victory was due in large part to his stellar play.""Andrei is one of the best players in the world and he proved that this summer in Spain," added FIBA Europe Secretary General Nar Zanolin. “Russia has always been a force in European basketball but in a competition like EuroBasket you need more than just talent and he proved his abilities extend beyond his impressive statistics."

Phoenix Suns in Another Home Loss

Home Loss? Why?

Hmmm... with Shaq in the center, why didn't make any improvement? I think you should read the statistic below for more comprehensive statistics. You can see the opponent had better Field Goal average percentage except a wonderful 100% Phoenix's Free Throw percentage (19-19).

The second is, The Sixers had 13 on steals and the Phoenix just had 2! Woopss..... What is this means? I think the Phoenix's players had terrible concentration or passing or both of it. They didn't take the home's adventage, by stay calm.

The third is the rebounds. The phoenix had 40 and sixers 39. Amare Soudemire had 26 points and 11 rebounds. Ray Evans had a good job with 13 point and 13 rebounds for Sixers. It seems that they had tie in ball possesion. That's why Phoenix had trouble to win over Sixers.

To bad, huh?!

The Shot Heard 'Round The World

I have this lovely autograph card and i think it's good to share with you all about this player. A short story about why Garfield Heard or you can call him Gar Heard, become famous.

The "Shot heard round the world" is a well known phrase that has come to represent several historical incidents throughout world history. The line is originally from the opening stanza of Ralph Waldo Emerson's Concord Hymn (1837), and referred to the beginning of the American Revolutionary War. Later, in Europe and the Commonwealth of Nations, the phrase became synonymous with the shot that killed Archduke Franz Ferdinand and plunged Europe into World War I.

In the NBA, the phrase is well-known for the memorable fifth game of the 1976 NBA Finals. Gal Heard's high-arching jumper as time expired in the second extra period sent the contest into triple OT, the first in Finals history. Heard's dramatic "Shot Heard Round The World" found its mark 31 years ago, sending Game 5 of the 1976 NBA Finals between the Suns and Celtics to a third overtime, extending the "Greatest Game Ever Played" for yet another five minutes. At the end, Celtics won Game 5 in Triple OT: 128-126. Heard scored 17 points and grabbed 12 rebounds while playing a team-high -- and NBA Finals record -- 61 minutes in that June 4, 1976 contest, but it was his heroics at the end of the second overtime that will forever be remembered.

The shot was also voted by Phoenix fans as the most memorable moment in franchise history during a Suns.com poll in 1998. Gar contributed more than that single shot, though. Over the course of his Suns career, the 6-6 forward averaged 7.5 points and 7.1 rebounds a game.

Since his playing days, Heard has established himself as one of the NBA's most respected coaches. Currently an assistant with the Atlanta Hawks, Heard has also served as a head coach with Dallas and Washington and has assisted in Indiana, Dallas, Philadelphia and Detroit. He began his coaching career in 1982 as an assistant at Arizona State University.

Yao Ming to miss the rest of season?

General manager Daryl Morey made the announcement Tuesday, hours before the Rockets put their 12-game winning streak on the line against the Washington Wizards. All-Star center Yao Ming is out for the season with a stress fracture in his left foot, a stunning blow to the surging Houston Rockets.

Yao was examined after Monday’s practice at Memorial Hermann Hospital and met Rockets team physician Dr. Tom Clanton to go over the test results. The Rockets confirmed the news this afternoon. He is averaging 22 points and 10.8 rebounds for the Rockets (36-20), who have won 12 straight games to move within 2.5 games of front-running San Antonio in the Southwest Division. Yao has been an All-Star in each of his six NBA seasons, averaging 19 points and 9.2 rebounds.

Clanton said there was no specific event that led to the injury, but rather an accumulation of stresses on the bone. Yao first experienced soreness and pain in his ankle before the All-Star game and tests were done Monday when the situation didn’t improve. This is Yao’s fourth major injury in the last two years. He missed 32 games last season with a fracture in his right leg and 21 games in late 2006 with a toe infection that required surgery. He missed four games in April 2006 after breaking his foot.

If Yao chooses surgery, Clanton said, it would involve placing screws across the bone to hold it together. The second option would be to treat it with a cast and crutches. Both options involve a healing time of about four months.

3 Party Exchange

You have heard the News: Larry Hughes, Drew Gooden, Cedric Simmons and Shannon Brown to the Bulls and Ira Newble and Donyell Marshall to Seattle. In exchange, the Cavaliers acquired forward/center Ben Wallace and forward/center Joe Smith plus Cleveland will get the 2009 second round draft pick from the Bulls and swingman Wally Szczerbiak and guard Delonte West from the Sonics. The last transfer is Andrian Griffin from Bulls to Cavs to Seattle (yeah, this one really 3 party exchange).

The new players have picked their numbers. Wallace's normal No. 3 is worn by Sasha Pavlovic, so Wallace will wear No. 4. Smith will take over Hughes' No. 32, Szczerbiak will wear his normal No. 10 and West will wear his normal No. 13.

But the new players didn't play when the Cavs won 90-89 over the Wizards. Actually, Lebron James wanted to have Jason Kidd. But James said he was pleased that the move brought front-line help and improved shooting, two areas he thought needed shoring up. He also is looking forward to playing alongside Wallace.

The DieseL "Slow but Sure"

After the lost from Lakers 124 - 130, Phoenix Suns won over Boston Celtics 85 - 77.

Shaquille O' Neal, after getting 15 points in his debut, just score 4 points. But he had a good defence with 14 rebounds, 2 block Shots. His team mates, Grant Hill scored double double, 14 points and 13 Rebounds. Amare Stoudemire scored team-high with 28 points. Kevin Garnett Scored team -high for Celtics with 19 points.

It's a prove, that Shaq can score and still a tremendous defender. I think in his age, Shaq have to concetrate on 1 point, scoring or defending. With shaq on the defence, his teammates can focus for making points. You can see the complete result below (click to enlarge), that Shaq has 13 defensive + 1 offensive rebounds. It's good to use his nicknames "DIESEL", because if many people argue that Shaq is become slow, The Diesel himself can prove that he is maybe slow but sure.
